It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!

We just received our last photo updates and monthly reports of Owen. We also received our second DNA authorization. This means that the DNA will be taken Friday, and hopefully, the sample will be at the lab Monday for final processing. Once the results get back to the US Embassy it takes about 2 days to schedule our Embassy appointment. So there is a very small chance that and we could get our Embassy appointment date right before Christmas!

Guess who's on the MOVE?

Owen is crawling! Oh my goodness...we are in trouble here at the Zowaski household! I guess it's time to rearrange furniture and start baby proofing. Talk about change...Owen is now saying Mama, Papa and Tata! His lastest medical reports that he now weigh's 15.8 pounds and is in good health. (He was sick at the end of Oct., but now he is fine) Some of the comments from his Foster Mommy state that he's smart, active and he's social and friendly!(This, of course, was NOT news to us!) Now onto the "The Amazing OZ"

Cutie Patootie - or my little Punkin!

Owen has two teeth, eats some whole foods and loves to dance! As I read the updates to Paulie he just beamed and said that's my boy, that's my boy! Oh my two big boys...I just love them!

We're in and the wait is on.

Owen is 6 months old now and is as cute as ever. We are in PGN and hoping for a smooth process from here. Mommy and Daddy are so ready to get our hands on this little fella, hear his laugh, tickle him, read books, play in the dirt and all the good stuff little boys do. This is what keeps us going!! We can't get enough of those eyes and it's even better when he smiles!

5 Months old and 13 lbs. of cuteness

Guess what Mommy and Daddy sent me? A package! It might look like my Foster Mommy just put me down in the middle of doing laundry, but No, it's all the good stuff my Mommy and Daddy sent me all the way from North Carolina. I'm not really sure where North Carolina is, but from the looks of this package I want to go! The clothes are cool and will come in handy since I'm growing so much these days, but gosh I really love this crabby thing. Thanks so much my sweet Mommy and Daddy!

You know, I was looking at Owen's health report this month, and noticed that he still does not say Mama or Papa and then my dear friend Lisa Renn stated matter of factly that..."the reason he hasn't said mama or papa yet is because he hasn't meet them yet." Owen-Little BIG Man

Oh my gosh, how Owen has changed in just one short month. Here are some interesting things we just learned about little Owen: He is attentive and happy, but has a strong temper, he likes to sleep with foster sister (the one that is 12 yrs. old), he likes rattle toys, and he plays with his hands. As if this last tidbit is a surprse! I personally think this is adorable.

Hi Mommy and Daddy! I'm wearing Big Boy shoes this month?

Isn't he just so DARN CUTE!!!!!!!! We love you Owen and we can't wait to hug and kiss you.

Memorial Day

Our little Man is growing! He's dressed like his Daddy in a couple of these pictures, in fact - I think Paulie has the same Polo minus the Winnie-the-Pooh of course!

Owen James is 7 weeks old!

We can see your eyes my darling little boy. Oh we are so in love with you! I have your little pictures all over the house, so that I can see you all day long. You have lots of hair like your Mommy and we are told you love your milk just like your Daddy.

Just look at our beautiful sleepy bundle of blue! Precious in our hearts from the first moments we saw him. So beautiful, so tiny, so well dressed, and a sports fan to the delight of his Daddy. We have decided to name him Owen James Vicente, a very big name for one so small. Owen because I think it's the only name his Daddy (Paulie) liked more than Olive Oil! That's a long story, but basically while waiting for our referral I would quiz Paulie on baby names - he could never come up with anything! Then finally one day while enduring a "POP" quiz and preparing dinner he looked around the kitchen and proudly blurted out Olive Oil! So much for a Saints name. Anyway, we decided on Owen because we both like it, James because that's my Dad's name and we both LOVE him, and Vicente because we wanted to honor his birth Mom whom we have grown to love and admire because she was brave enough to bring us our son. Paulie especially was thrilled with our naming decision once he realized Owen's initials would be "OZ", he loved it! Paulie quickly began happily chanting: "Way to Go OZ", "Go Oz", "Good one OZ", that's going to be his high school nickname...Cool! Owen James Vicente: Born March 6th 2007, 6 lbs. 2 oz. and not quite 19" long (Born in our hearts: April 18th 2007) Proud Parents: Carolyn and Paul
